"Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15)
“To make a concrete response to the appeal of our brothers and sisters in humanity, we must come to grips with the first of these challenges: solidarity among generations, solidarity between countries and entire continents, so that all human beings may share more equitably in the riches of our planet. This is one of the essential services that people of good will must render to humanity. The earth, in fact, can produce enough to nourish all its inhabitants, on the condition that the rich countries do not keep for themselves what belongs to all.”
(Address of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI at the presentation of the letters accrediting new ambassadors to the Holy See, Thursday, 16 June 2005)
We are a group of young Christians who want to answer Jesus’ call to transmit the message of the Gospel, following in the footsteps of St. Benedict, combining prayer, study and action. We wish to serve as a bridge of solidarity giving direct help to the marginalized.
The words of the great Pope John Paul II still resonate in our minds: “Be not afraid! Open wide the doors to Christ!” (22 October 1978), in addition to the words of his successor Pope Benedict XVI: “dear young people: Do not be afraid of Christ! He takes nothing away, and he gives you everything. When we give ourselves to him, we receive a hundredfold in return. Yes, open, open wide the doors to Christ – and you will find true life. Amen.” (24 April 2005)Armed with faith and good works, and guided by the Gospel, we walk in his ways to gain sight of him, he who had called us in his kingdom.
The site you are visiting represents a warm invitation to live the Christian faith by committing yourself to helping the most unfortunate and most needy.Having studied and meditated on the Word of God, artists are invited to participate in an active way, transmitting, through their own works, their faith to all of us lovers of art. Each icon is a fruit of the dialogue between the artist and God as well as a message for us men and women of good will.
All families and people of good will are invited to take part in this network of solidarity so that this hard-to-accept reality of orphans, poor families, and elderly will be transformed.By helping one of these needy persons along his or her path in life, we help Christ himself.
Our objective is to transmit faith in Christ to all those around us, using art as an instrument of evangelization, hope to the most disadvantaged in this world, and charity to all those united to this project.
Praying with faith will stimulate us to always do more to take the message of Christ to others and to help our neighbour to assume his own responsibility.
